Apply to the Winter ML Bootcamp →

We’re excited to announce that MAIA will be hosting a two- to four-week ML bootcamp this January in partnership with the Cambridge Boston Alignment Initiative. We think this is one of the best ways to quickly get up to speed in deep learning and develop skills useful for conducting AI safety research.

The bootcamp will be in-person, with teaching assistants experienced with ML and AI safety research. We’ll follow the highly-rated MLAB (Machine Learning for Alignment) curriculum designed by Redwood Research, which provides a thorough, hands-on introduction to state-of-the-art ML techniques (e.g. transformers, deep RL, mechanistic interpretability) and is meant to get you to the level of replicating ML papers in PyTorch. The program’s only prerequisites are comfort with Python and introductory linear algebra.

We will host it in Cambridge, MA, likely from Jan 9 to Feb 3. Weekday lunch/dinner will be provided. We will provide transportation and accommodation if needed.

Apply here by Dec 16. We understand winter break is soon, and will get back to you no later than Dec 20.
